"Hide Out" 12 x 12 watercolor
I spent a profitable morning at my garage sale :)....then I closed the doors, and the afternoon was spent painting "Hide Out." It is so rare for me to do a painting that's all watercolor these days..(I'm usually mixing media).....but this image seemed to want "pure."

I like the muted colors in the background. I think they help bring out the variations in your reds. Nice and moody!
Thanks Peggy....i used the newest Daniel Smith Triad (quin. burnt scarlet, verditer blue, and perm. yellow deep...plus indigo for darks) I just can't resist those triad special buys... :)...it's still propped up because I'm not sure it's completely finished....It might need a soft touch of something in the white space.
