"Higher Ground" 24 x 20 ~ Acrylic (sold)
Detail images below.......
Finished this one yesterday....I'm trying to come up with a great title for the series....One thing I know is that they are going to be hopeful paintings....enough gloom and doom already, don't you agree?!

Great start - you certainly have been busy. This one isn't as luminous as the originals - could be missing that dark/light thing. The balance seems too even. That may be your intention though so ...........
Hey there workshop buddy! :)
i know...But it was painted with colors dictated by our financial planner's new office. I did 2 of them for her open house today... I'll post the second one later in the week....This one is mostly dark...I have the hardest time photographing my stuff...It was quite a challenge painting in these colors....no vibrant hues...just value changes really.
I like what you're doing. It's an interesting challenge to work with the more muted tones. I think the values work.
I actually had 2 hours free today - so started small studies - who new I'd get 3 phone calls and Pat interrupting .... grrr
Hi Peggy...and thanks...I was so excited to find out that she decided to purchase both paintings! So now I'm really happy with this new direction I'm taking. :)
Sue....Shut your doors and wear earplugs. :) and tell Pat to stop it! (but in a nice way of course)
I keep pouring through both of Burridge's books....they are awesome.
