Back to Warm-ups!

"Teal and Golden Bouquet" (catchy title! LOL)
5.5 x 7.5 inches
Acrylic on fabric glued to watercolor paper.

I am still working on the High Road series...but did a few warm-ups today. This one has very unusual colors for me.... I really like painting on the batik quilt fabric (glued to the paper) What a dynamic under-painting! I would be more pleased if I had left just a bit more of the fabric on left side of the bouquet...oh well... I guess that's why they are called "warm-ups!"

I like this, different but engaging. You may have to have a series of these with the batik fabric. Very nice.

How are your classes going that you are teaching?

Hi Debra!

Last night was the first class I was able to do at JoAnn's (I need at least 2 students signed up)
I had 3 lovely ladies that were a riot. They all ended up with paintings that they were pleased with. So, it was great! They warned me that they'll be back...so I guess they enjoyed themselves. I think it will be a bit slow building students...our economy is just in the tank (I know we aren't alone in that)... I've committed to giving it a year, so we'll see. I've got the hard part of teaching done.(figuring out the project and writing the handouts)
Thanks for asking! :)
